Get Involved
The biggest priority for public sector CWA members at the moment is fighting Chris Christie's Toolkit, which is a thinly veiled assault on public workers in New Jersey.
There are a number of things YOU can do to help out:
-
Call your Legislators! CWA encourages every worker to call their legislators once a week. Use this guide to find out which legislative district you live in, and then use the sheets below to start calling! CWA encourages "Call-in Wednesdays" to target action, but any day is a good day to call your legislators when it comes to your job.
- September 1, 2010, tell your legislators to protect workers' rights in Civil Service
- August 25, 2010, tell your legislators to oppose S2039 and A2954.
- August 18, 2010, tell your legislators to oppose S2039 and A2954.
- August 11, 2010, tell your legislators to oppose S2135 and A2955
- August 4, 2010 and July 21, 2010, tell your legislators to oppose S2206.
- Wear Red on Thursdays as a Show of Solidarity
- Call your legislators to urge them to oppose the Civil Service Opt-Out bill, A2580
