CWA Responds to Christie's Attempt to Suppress Union Political Action

On just his first day in office, Chris Christie axed the rights of hudreds of thousands of New Jersey residents to fully participate in the political process, by signing an executive order banning public sector unions from making political contributions.

The Communications Workers of America, New Jersey's largest state worker union, responded today, vowing to support the rights of its members to participate freely in our democratic process, promising a challenge in court.

Stay tuned for more information as the situation develops.

What a hypocrite You said things that would indicate committment to impoving New Jersey's finalcial crisis and then act in a way to ensure our failure. You're against corrupt officials, yet you put them on your counsel. You want to increase taxes on low and middle income families but decrease taxes on those in your tax bracket. I'm ready to move out of state to one that actually cares about their consitiuants. I've lived here all my life, but I have never seen such an uncaring and hostile administration as yours. I am sure you don't care, but those who love New Jersey do. If there was an election today, look at your popularity ratings today. From January today, only 33% support you. And they, I assume, are your rich friends.
